Chosen from nearly 800 applicants across 95 countries, PepTiDa earns global recognition for its innovative use of intellectual property
PepTiDa, a pioneering Italian company in the health care sector has been selected as one of the 30 global finalists in the 2025 WIPO Global Awards, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The WIPO Global Awards celebrate the achievements of startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have successfully used intellectual property (IP) assets to fuel business growth and societal impact. This year’s edition attracted a record 780 fully submitted applications from 95 countries, 30 finalists were shortlisted by the WIPO Secretariat.
“Being selected as a finalist for the WIPO Global Awards is a significant honor for our team,” said Prof. Tiziana Borsello, Founder & CEO of PepTiDa. “It validates our efforts to build a business rooted in innovation, backed by a thoughtful IP strategy. Finalists were assessed on the suitability of their business model and IP portfolio, their international IP strategy, their internal IP culture, and their positive impact on society. PepTiDa’s inventive approach in Life Science and IP strategy has enabled the development of neuroprotectant to address Brain diseases.

The winners among the finalists will be announced at the official WIPO Global Awards Ceremony on the 11th of July 2025, held during the 66th WIPO General Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.
